Overview

The Dentistry Department is dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis, and management of oral and dental diseases. It trains students in various aspects of oral health care, including restorative dentistry, periodontics, orthodontics, and oral surgery. The department emphasizes the importance of preventive dentistry and equips students with skills to deliver patient-centered care.

  • Anatomy, physiology, and pathology of the oral cavity.
  • Diagnosis and management of dental caries, periodontal diseases, and oral infections.
  • Techniques in restorative dentistry, including fillings, crowns, and bridges.
  • Orthodontics for correction of dental malocclusions and alignment issues.
  • Oral and maxillofacial surgery for extractions, trauma management, and jaw corrections.
  • Preventive dentistry strategies, including fluoride therapy and oral hygiene education.

Treatment & Services:

  • General Dentistry: Comprehensive care, including fillings, extractions, and root canal treatments.
  •  Restorative Dentistry: Services such as crowns, bridges, and dentures to restore dental function
    and aesthetics.
  • Orthodontics: Diagnosis and treatment of malocclusions using braces and aligners.
  • Oral Surgery: Minor and major surgical interventions for impacted teeth, cysts, and facial trauma.
  • Periodontics: Management of gum diseases, scaling, and advanced periodontal therapies.
  • Community Dentistry: Outreach programs for oral health awareness and dental check-ups in
    underserved areas.
