Pathology is critical for diagnosing diseases through the study of tissues, cells, and bodily fluids. The
department teaches students how to identify and diagnose diseases
Key Learning Areas
- General Pathology: Mechanisms of disease, inflammation, and cell injury.
- Systemic Pathology: Pathology affecting different organ systems.
- Hematology: Disorders of blood and diagnostic techniques.
- Histopathology: Examination of tissue samples for disease diagnosis.
Laboratory Requirements:
- Histopathology Lab: Microtomes, tissue processors, and staining facilities.
- Hematology Lab: Blood analyzers, hemoglobinometers, and centrifuges for blood tests.
- Pathology Museum: Specimens and teaching aids for pathology studies.
